Stallions, Brahmas, Panthers See Week 10 Roster Movement

Birmingham Stallions vs. St. Louis Battlehawks | Week 7 Preview

As week 10 is right around the corner, the Birmingham Stallions, San Antonio Brahmas, and Michigan Panthers all saw some roster movement as pieces come and go between each organization.

San Antonio Brahmas

Activated RB John Lovett
Cut WR Justin Smith

The Brahmas have finally brought back John Lovett, who was placed on IR after week three. Lovett was a big loss to the backfield, having been one of the top rushers in the UFL in 2024. John’s presence has been missed, especially with the emphasis on running the ball that we’ve seen out of San Antonio’s offense this season.

However, the Brahmas have cut WR Justin Smith to clear room for Lovett’s return, which is a rather strange move. They now hold four running backs, with Aidan Robbins and Jaden Shirden both maintaining their roster spots. Obviously, Jashaun Corbin doesn’t need to worry about being cut, following his sensational performances the last few weeks.

That said, Smith has been one of the more reliable pieces in this Brahmas offense the last couple of seasons, so it’s a surprise to see him let go prior to the final game of the UFL season.

Birmingham Stallions

Cut LS William Mote

The Stallions have had more long snapper turnover than just about anyone in spring football. Ryan Langan went down earlier this year with a season-ending injury, which resulted in Mote signing with the team and filling in. Mote played in a few games, but was replaced last week by LS Gage King, for unknown reasons. It seems that William is also dealing with an injury, but has now been released – as Langan holds the IR spot.

Michigan Panthers

Activated LB Javin White
Cut QB Colby Suits
Cut LB James Neal

Some good news for Michigan: Javin White is back off of IR. White went down in week three, which was a tough loss for a defense that was finding its stride. Javin was a major piece for Michigan a season ago, especially after Frank Ginda went down with injury.

With Ginda no longer…
