After spending the last two seasons with the Arlington Renegades, TE Seth Green is headed back to the NFL. The New Orleans Saints have signed Green to the roster, first reported by Kat Terrell – and confirmed by Adam Schefter.

Green has been with Arlington for two years, primarily as TE2 behind Sal Cannella. With the Renegades running their offense primarily out of 11-personnel, Seth hasn’t seen the field quite as much as he might deserve.

That said, he’s made the most of his opportunities throughout the last couple of years. Across that span, he’s totaled 236 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

This season, Green played 212 offensive snaps, blocking on 115 of those snaps. His lone score of the year came in week nine, when Holton Ahlers threaded the needle to Seth against Memphis.

The NFL is nothing new for Seth Green. He’s been with the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys prior to joining the UFL, and now returns to the NFL – this time with the New Orleans Saints. Green had a workout with the team last week, signing this morning.

Green isn’t the only Renegades TE to sign an NFL deal. Last night, the UFL reported that his teammate – Sal Cannella – also had his contract terminated. It currently remains to be seen as to where Sal might be going, but Arlington is about to lose two tight ends to the NFL.
