The Houston Roughnecks have been steadily re-signing defensive pieces. That trend continued on Friday, as they officially brought back CB Armani Marsh, which a league source confirmed to Pro Football Newsroom.

Armani Marsh was an offseason addition by GM Will Lewis – and he proved to be an excellent one at that. Marsh wasn’t active to begin the season, but quickly worked his way into a starting role.

Armani ended up starting in four of five games played, totaling 16 tackles and two PBU’s. He had a strong 90.5 Defensive Grade via PFF – one of the top grades in the entire UFL. His forced fumble on Dresser Winn, which T.J. Franklin scooped and scored, resulted in a clutch week six win.

Unfortunately, injuries would keep Marsh sidelined the rest of the year. With his quick rise to stardom in the secondary, though, expect Marsh to be a big part of Chris Wilson’s defense in 2026.

Armani spent the entirety of his college career at Washington State – starting on 31 of 46 games played. He posted 184 tackles, 10 TFL’s, two sacks, 13 PBU’s, two forced fumbles, and four interceptions across his time there.

Marsh spent a bit of time in the NFL in 2023, with the Tennessee Titans.
