The UFL truly is the wild west, and what we’ve learned over the past couple of weeks is rather astounding. Four UFL markets will be relocated for the 2026 season, knocking out the entire USFL conference.
These moves are on the heels of a season in the UFL that, from a financial/business standpoint, didn’t go according to plans. Attendance was down everywhere except in Michigan, while TV Ratings also saw a drop.
Ticket sales have been a major point of discussion for the UFL and their struggles, and it’s a big reason why we’re seeing so much change.
We reported last week on the mass layoffs/firings in the UFL. Most of those were in the markets of Birmingham, Michigan, Houston, and Memphis. This is in line with the major moves being made here for relocation.
As for the relocated markets, the plan is to put teams in Florida (Orlando/Tampa Bay), Boise (Idaho), Columbus (Ohio), and Kentucky (Louisville/Lexington).
