After spending a season in the UFL, San Antonio Brahmas S Henry Black is headed back to the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons announced this morning that they signed Henry to their 90-man roster, making his return to the Falcons where he spent some time in 2024. Black had a workout with the team yesterday.
Henry Black spent the entirety of the UFL’s 2025 season as a rotational piece in Will Reed’s defense. He played in all 10 games, but didn’t start any; rotating behind Jordan Mosley and Jalen Elliott.
Black finished the season with 22 tackles, on 206 snaps played. He also made an impact on special teams, with six tackles to his name on that end.
Black played his college football at Baylor, racking up 119 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions across his time there. This led to Henry receiving some NFL interest in 2020. He signed with the Green Bay Packers as an UDFA that year, and proceeded to see quite a bit of playing time in 2021 – posting 38 tackles and an interception.
Since then, Henry has had a difficult time maintaining a roster spot. He’s been with the Giants, Falcons, Steelers, and Colts – but primarily remaining on the practice squad for those stints.
Now, he returns to Atlanta – a team that has targeted San Antonio players so far this summer. Earlier this year, the Falcons brought in Brahmas star RB Jashaun Corbin.
Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
