After a ridiculous amount of workouts with NFL teams, Arlington Renegades OT Ricky Lee has finally signed a contract. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced today that Lee is signing with the team.
Ricky Lee joined the Arlington Renegades this past UFL offseason, and proved to be one of the top pickups by GM Rick Mueller. He started in all ten games at left tackle, allowing just two sacks on the year.
Now, penalties were an issue for Lee – who committed 10 of them across the 10 games he played in. That said, he was a consistent force up front for an Arlington O-Line that had a bit of a tough time finding stability this season.
For Ricky, the NFL has been something that’s been a bit elusive for him. Lee signed with the Carolina Panthers as an UDFA in 2023. He was with the team during that preseason – and spent six games activated on the roster. Then Lee was bounced around between the Vikings and Browns, on and off of their practice squads.
After a strong campaign with the Arlington Renegades, though, Ricky now makes his way back to the NFL – this time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had workouts with the Saints, Jets, Chiefs, Colts, and Falcons over the past month.
Lee is the fifth Renegades player to sign an NFL contract, and the first UFL athlete the Jaguars picked up this offseason. Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
