According to Matt Zenitz, the Pittsburgh Steelers are signing St. Louis Battlehawks DT Kyler Baugh to their preseason roster. Baugh, a young prospect out of Minnesota, makes his way back to the NFL after his UFL campaign in St. Louis.
Kyler Baugh previously had a couple of NFL stints with the New Orleans Saints, and New York Giants. He also had a quick opportunity on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad at the end of 2024, prior to signing with the Battlehawks.
While Kyler came into camp as a backup, and remained inactive the first few games, injuries gave him an opportunity to prove himself.
Baugh did exactly that, posting eight tackles, two sacks, and seven QB pressures across the last several games.
Now, he gets a chance to prove himself in the NFL once again, this time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Battlehawks to NFL pipeline has picked up as of late, with RB Jacob Saylors (Lions) and DB Nick Whiteside (Lions) signing contracts late last week.
Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
