The success stories for the Showboats just keep coming out of Memphis. DT Josiah Bronson is signing with the Tennessee Titans, multiple sources confirm to Pro Football Newsroom.
Bronson is one of spring football’s underrated storylines. He’s played in the UFL for the past two seasons – earning NFL contracts following each of his campaigns with the Showboats.
During the 2024 season, Bronson totaled 12 tackles, two TFL’s, 1.5 sacks, six quarterback hurries, and a PBU. He started in four of ten games played with Memphis.
This led to an NFL opportunity with the Patriots. While Josiah originally signed with New England, he ended up being picked up by the Colts later on in the season. He was released by Indianapolis’ practice squad at the end of October, returning to Memphis in the UFL.
In 2025, Bronson played with Jarren Horton’s defense in Memphis – posting 26 tackles. He was an excellent run defender, with a strong 71.5 RDEF grade via PFF. Josiah started in all 10 games in 2025; and even added an unreal INT to his resume during a week eight win over the Brahmas.
After workouts with both the Colts and Titans, Josiah Bronson now signs with Tennessee – making his return to the NFL. Josiah is the 5th Showboat to sign an NFL contract this offseason. He joins QB Dresser Winn (Rams), EDGE Jaylon Allen (49ers), WR Kwamie Lassiter II (Chiefs), and C Alec Lindstrom (Patriots).
Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
