Camp roster moves: Steelers make moves

Steelers sign three: The Steelers made multiple roster moves on Tuesday, including signing three players.

The team signed defensive tackle Domenique Davis, tight end Kevin Foelsch and running back Lew Nichols.

Davis, who was released earlier this week, spent time on the Steelers practice squad during the 2024 season. Davis originally signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft. He was out of the NFL for two seasons before signing with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022. He spent time on the Bengals practice squad and active roster during the past two seasons. Davis played college football at North Carolina Charlotte where he appeared in 31 games. He finished with 123 tackles, 51 of them solo stops, 15 tackles for a loss and six sacks.

Foelsch has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and most recently the Kansas City Chiefs, but has yet to see action in an NFL game. He played college football at Division II New Haven, where he had 16 touchdown receptions.

Nichols was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, spending most of the season on the Reserve/Injured List. He has since spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Nichols played college football at Central Michigan where he rushed for 1,710 yards in 2021, leading the nation. He was the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2021.

The team also terminated running back/kick returner Cordarrell Patterson, and waived/injured list receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig and linebacker Jeremiah Moon.
