After a couple of months of silence, the Memphis Showboats have made a couple moves. They’ve signed WR’s Duane Brown and Isiah Scott to the roster, as the first transactions in UFL free agency for the team.
What makes both of these signings intriguing: Brown and Scott are arena prospects. They were both recently AF1 Champions with the Albany Firebirds; and now get an opportunity to move up the ranks in pro football.
WR Duane Brown
Duane Brown has been one of arena’s most electrifying playmakers for quite some time. Brown spent the 2024 AFL season with the Billings Outlaws, winning the Championship that year with the team. Funny enough, they actually took down the Albany Firebirds – who Duane moved to in 2025.
In 2024 with Billings, Duane totaled 770 yards and 10 TD’s during the regular season; and had an outstanding Championship performance to push Billings to their victory.
With the Albany Firebirds, Duane had another excellent showing. He earned AF1 Offensive Player of the Year honors; posting a ridiculous 30 touchdowns, to go along with 921 receiving yards this season. Once again, Brown was crowned a champion, this time with Albany.
