Buffalo Bills Sign San Antonio Brahmas EDGE Nelson Ceaser

Preseason Recap: St. Louis BattleHawks vs Dallas Renegades

The San Antonio Brahmas have proven to be a pipeline to the NFL this offseason. EDGE Nelson Ceaser is the latest example of exactly that, signing with the Buffalo Bills as of today.

Ceaser had an interesting journey in the UFL this past season. He was originally signed by the DC Defenders, but got cut in Training Camp.

A few weeks into the UFL’s year, San Antonio picked Ceaser up due to some of the movement they had up front. He ended up seeing action in six games, totaling seven tackles and a defensive stop via PFF.

Nelson played all of his college football at Houston. With the Cougars, he racked up 103 tackles, 18.5 sacks, and an interception. During his final season, Nelson posted 28 tackles and 9.5 sacks – dominating with the Cougars defensively.

This earned Nelson an NFL opportunity with the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent this past preseason. Ceaser had three tackles with Seattle across three games.

Now, he returns to the NFL – this time with the Buffalo Bills. The Brahmas saw a couple of players sign to the NFL earlier this week. Additionally, Buffalo already rosters one other UFL player, in Stallions WR Deon Cain.

Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
