Denver Broncos Sign St. Louis Battlehawks DB Micah Abraham

UFL Proposal To Change Playoff Format Gets Shut Down

Micah Abraham is on his way back to the NFL. The St. Louis Battlehawks defensive back is signing with the Denver Broncos, Aaron Wilson reports today.

Micah is a pretty unique story from the league this past UFL season. He signed with St. Louis late in the year, due to some of the injuries they were dealing with in their secondary.

Abraham came into the fold and saw legitimate action during the final three games of the season, including the playoffs. He totaled five tackles, including a forced fumble he recovered and took to the house in week nine against San Antonio.

Interestingly enough, Micah is the son of the Battlehawks DC, Donnie Abraham. Donnie played a role in bringing Micah to the team when they went down a couple of DB’s.

Now, Abraham has legitimate pro talent, recently with the Indianapolis Colts in 2024. In fact, Micah was actually a sixth round draft pick with the team. He was then picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals, but was waived relatively quickly.

As a collegiate athlete at Marshall, Micah Abraham had a very strong career with 150 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 12 interceptions, and 55 PBU’s across five seasons.

After a short stint in the UFL with St. Louis, he’s back in the NFL. Micah received some legitimate NFL interest this offseason, having workouts with the Jets and 49ers, before signing with Denver.

Micah is the 5th Battlehawk to sign an NFL contract this offseason. He’s the second UFL athlete on Denver’s roster, joining Brahmas EDGE Garrett Nelson.

Without the national platform that the UFL provided him with, who knows if this would have been made possible. You can stay up to date on all UFL to NFL…
