General Manager Jim Monos has been getting active for the Memphis Showboats. WR Quian Williams and DB Shon Stephens have been scooped up in their latest batch of signings, as Memphis builds towards the 2026 UFL season.
WR Quian Williams
With all of the arena prospect signings as of late, Quian Williams fits that mold for the Showboats. He’s the third free agent wideout to sign with Memphis this offseason, hailing from the IFL’s Iowa Barnstormers.
Williams began his college career at Eastern Michigan, playing there for two seasons. Across that span, he racked up 983 yards and eight touchdowns, on 76 receptions.
Quian then transferred to the University at Buffalo, immediately making an impact. He made the All-MAC Third Team in back to back seasons, totaling 1,578 receiving yards and seven touchdowns between 2021-2022.
Since then, he’s been in the arena scene in the IFL for a couple of years. In 2025, Williams had an absolutely stellar campaign, with 93 receptions for 1,158 yards and 27 touchdowns – leading the IFL in all three categories, earning triple crown honors.
He’s got the size and speed necessary to make it at the next level, and will now look to compete in UFL Training Camp for a roster spot next year.
DB Shon Stephens
DB Shon Stephens is the first defensive addition to the Showboats roster this offseason. Memphis featured a loaded secondary this past year, and now Shon will join the fold with an uphill battle to make this roster in 2026.
Shon began his college career at Bakersfield College, playing there for two seasons. Across that span, he totaled 34 tackles and two PBU’s. From there, he made his way to West Liberty – bursting onto the scene with 37 tackles and a…
