Chris Russo rips Panthers, David Tepper for increased ticket prices

The Carolina Panthers got it pretty . . . ruff on Wednesday.

Longtime sports broadcasting personality Chris “Mad Dog” Russo embarked on one of his patented rants during this morning’s episode of ESPN’s First Take, with team owner David Tepper on the receiving end. Russo ripped into the organization for news of their rising ticket prices going into the 2024 campaign—ya know, the one right after their miserable two-win campaign.

Take a listen:

Steve Reed of The Associated Press wrote the following on the increase in his report from yesterday morning:

The lower level seating at Bank of America Stadium will see the most significant impact, with season ticket prices increasing by an average of 7% from last year for permanent seat license owners, according to a team spokesman. The upper level seating will see a blended increase of less than 1%, with 90% of those ticket prices remaining flat.

Premium tickets, which includes club seats and suites, will increase based on the terms in their contracts.

So, it may be safe to say that Tepper and the Panthers won’t be hosting any dog-friendly events (especially for the mad ones) at the stadium either.
