10 highest graded Dolphins set to hit the market

The Miami Dolphins will have to make a lot of big decisions this offseason, and it all starts in free agency.

The Dolphins have 32 impending free agents, including a few of their impact players from this season. They are also bottom four in cap space and effective cap space, so they might not be able to retain all, or even most, of those players. Miami will probably need to move on from a few of its rostered players too.

NFL teams have until March 4 to decide whether they want to use franchise or transition tags, which is only realistically suitable for safety Jevón Holland. The rest will either be re-signed or left to hit free agency.

Here are the top 10 Dolphins impending free agents (minimum 250 snaps) ranked in order of their 2024 Pro Football Focus grades:

Campbell just finished what may be the last season of his career. While the Dolphins probably want to bring him back if he returns to the NFL for another year, they may not have that option.

In his one season with Miami, Campbell had 52 total tackles, five sacks, and one forced fumble.

Lamm spent three seasons with Miami but may be on his way out now. The 32-year old vet became an important player, especially when tackles Terron Armstead and Austin Jackson missed time.

With Miami drafting tackle Patrick Paul last season, they may view Lamm as one of the more expendable free agents. But if they are worried about the health of Armstead and Jackson, he could be a key re-signing — assuming he also decides not to retire.

After getting waived midseason by the Seattle Seahawks, Dodson quickly became involved in Miami. He started three games, including a stellar 15-tackle, one-interception game against the Browns in Week 17.

With fellow linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. also hitting free agency, Miami could end up choosing one or the other.

Miami has struggled to replace starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa when he has gone down with injury in recent years. But Tyler Huntley looked like one of his best relief options the team has had in a while.

Even though he struggled at times, Huntley had a couple strong performances, even if it wasn’t enough to keep Miami relevant.
