Mahomes isn’t completely eliminated from the debate as the greatest of all time, but he has a lot of ground to cover to ever catch up with Brady. The fact that he’s been to five Super Bowls before the age of 30, as opposed to Brady’s three Super Bowl appearances before that age, is an encouraging sign.
Assuming the Chiefs continue on their current trajectory, more opportunities could lead to more wins for Mahomes and company. With that said, going to the Super Bowl is hard every year, and winning them is even harder. There’s also the fact that Travis Kelce is clearly past his prime and currently undecided on his NFL future.
However, as long as Mahomes and coach Andy Reid are around, the Chiefs will remain one of the more competitive teams in the AFC. But will they dominate like they have in previous years? That question is up for debate.
