Everyone has an opinion on what the New England Patriots should do with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft.
One thing to consider right off the bat is that we’re working within the confines of an incomplete picture. The Patriots will be entering the free agency period with more money to spend than any other NFL team. So there’s a good chance they’ll address many of their needs long before the draft even gets here.
What they do in that period will greatly impact their drafting strategy.
They have multiple needs on the roster at offensive tackle, wide receiver, defensive tackle, edge rusher and cornerback. They can’t fix everything with one draft pick, but they can get things headed in the right direction with a home run decision on the draft board and a well-executed free agency period.
Let’s rank the five best options for the Patriots with the No. 4 overall pick of the draft.

Mason Graham is a powerful interior force who could boost the run game and create pass-rushing opportunities in the middle of the defensive line. Depending on how the draft board falls, Graham might be the Patriots’ best option with the No. 4 pick.

The Patriots don’t have to make a selection at No. 4 if the right player isn’t on the board. This might also be a great opportunity for the team to trade down for more draft picks to fix the many holes on their roster. They might also agree to a blockbuster trade for a superstar player if the right situation becomes available.

Some have argued that Will Campbell isn’t worth a top-four pick due to his physical limitations as an NFL offensive tackle. Granted, Campbell could come right out and destroy the arguments made by naysayers who believe he’d make a better guard than tackle at the next level.
With that said, he was an impressive left tackle at the collegiate level, and the Patriots are in dire need of better offensive tackles. It would make sense for them to consider addressing that need as early as possible.
