The United Football League (UFL) is in the off-season, but news is still coming down the pipeline. FOX 2 Now out of St. Louis is reporting that the fan that was slapped by Samson Nacua at The Dome has filed a lawsuit.

The incident took place during week 5, with a video circulating after the game showing an altercation between Nacua and the fan.

There’s still been no direct information on what led up to this, but fans have reported that Nacua was spit on first which led to the aggressive behaviour. Needless to say, players at a professional level are expected to keep it on the field.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Jordon Hardwick was attending the game with his family, including his child, when Nacua allegedly slapped him.

Fox 2 Now states that the lawsuit claims Hardwick suffered “serious injuries” to his head, brain, neck and spine and back, resulting in ongoing medical expenses. It also cites emotional distress and public humiliation.

Harwick is seeking $25,000 in damages for seven counts listed in the lawsuit.

Samson Nacua was suspended for one game, without pay, by the UFL after reviewing the event. The Panthers went on to go to the UFL Championship, but could not handle the DC Defenders.

We’ll keep you posted as more information comes out around this story.
