Jets Training Camp Practice Report from Day 12 (8/7/2025)

The defense had the upper hand during the last few Jets’ practices, and QB Justin Fields said on Tuesday it would be important for his unit to respond. The offense wasted no time in doing so on Thursday, as Fields led a clean and efficient 70-yard scoring drive to begin practice.

“Our offense didn’t do a good job our last practice, and they come back this practice and do a good job,” said HC Aaron Glenn, who has been emphasizing “emotional intelligence” and bouncing back from mistakes. “That’s everything that we’ve been preaching, so I’m proud of those guys, how they came out.”

The 70-yard drive began with a short completion from Fields to RB Breece Hall. Fields then handed off to Hall on the next play, who powered up the middle of the field for a first down. An incompletion to FB Andrew Beck followed, but Fields scrambled for nearly 20 yards and another first down on the ensuing play. RB Braelon Allen then picked up a yard before Fields found WR Garrett Wilson to move the chains again. Then on the 17-yard line, Fields fired a pass to Wilson who made a leaping catch in the end zone for the score.

“I was really impressed with the way our offense handled the first drive,” Glenn said. “I thought Justin did a hell of a job. Getting guys in and out of the huddle, being in command of the offense, knowing exactly what we’re trying to accomplish.”
