Nebraska transfer listed as the portals most important pass rusher

We’ve discussed before how Nebraska was all-in on the transfer portal in the 2022 off-season. The Huskers brought in 15 new players for the upcoming season, and no position was given as much time and attention as edge rushers. The Cornhuskers were one of the worst pass-rushing teams in the country last year, finishing with just 20 sacks in 12 games for a national ranking of 98th overall. Nebraska only finished ahead of Indiana and Northwestern for sacks in the Big Ten in 2021. Regarding tackles for loss, Nebraska finished 72nd overall with 66 TTFL on the season.

It was clear that for the defense to improve in 2022, the Huskers would have to get more aggressive off the edge and create more pressure on quarterbacks. On3 compiled a list of the “ten most impactful edge transfers of 2022.” Nebraska finished at the top of the list but scroll down below to find out why early projections show that Nebraska may have their next star on the defensive line.
