Ranking the Pac-12 football teams entering the 2022 season

The Pac-12 Conference is in a tough place.

With the news of USC and UCLA heading to the Big Ten, there is plenty of panic across the conference.

Nonetheless, the conference still has some strong teams. The 2022 season brings about a ton of changes: Lincoln Riley at USC, Dan Lanning at Oregon, Kalen DeBoer at Washington and plenty of new quarterbacks across the conference.

With opening day right around the corner, it’s time to examine the Pac-12 power rankings. The Pac-12 media already picked Utah to win the conference again, and that seems to be a popular pick.

The Colorado Buffaloes are on the opposite side of the rankings, although Karl Dorrell’s team is set to silence those talks.

The Arizona Wildcats were the worst team in the Pac-12 a season ago. Sure, they got a new quarterback in Jayden de Laura, but it’s tough to envision them winning more than four games this season.

The Buffs were picked last by the Pac-12 media, and there are plenty of reasons for that. The Buffs lost a ton of players via the transfer portal, including to a few Pac-12 programs.
