Now that fall sports are in full swing, fans are understandably excited for Auburn’s game against Penn State. While the football team is being praised, though, Auburn’s women’s sports have been in their own spotlight as the fall season marches onward. Auburn volleyball broke a school record, the women’s basketball team has picked out its numbers in preparation for next season and an Auburn women’s golf athlete has a successful end to her first round of an intercollegiate tournament.

Two Auburn players make PFF Team of the Week over first two games
Two key members of the Auburn football team have been recognized following the team’s wins over Mercer and San Jose State.
Tank Bigsby and Derick Hall both made PFF’s college football Team of the Week on Tuesday. Bigsby received honors for Week 1 after his dominating performance against Mercer while Derick Hall’s efforts in last weekend’s victory over San Jose State. The two will hope to continue their efforts in Week 3’s matchup with Penn State.
Auburn volleyball sets blocks record

The Auburn Tigers volleyball team has set a new record.
The program managed 17 blocks over the course of its 3-1 victory over the Troy Trojans last Saturday. The Tigers followed up the record-breaking performance with a victory over North Florida the following day and the team remains undefeated as it enters the final stretch of its non-conference play.
