Hartman Receives National Recognition Following Boston College Performance

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Redshirt junior quarterback Sam Hartman was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Quarterback of the Week after his standout performance on Saturday in the win over Boston College, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

This comes on the heels of being named the ACC Quarterback of the Week for the second time this season. Additionally, this is the second time he has been named to the Manning Star of the Week and Davey O’Brien Great 8 lists. He also was named to the lists following a four-touchdown performance against Vanderbilt in Week Two.

Hartman completed 25-of-40 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns in Saturday’s win. Additionally, Hartman added a touchdown on the ground in the third quarter. This marked Hartman’s 28th-straight game with a touchdown, the longest active streak in the nation. 

Hartman broke the Wake Forest all-time passing mark against Liberty, eclipsing Riley Skinner (2006-09) with a five-yard pass to Ke’Shawn Williams in the third quarter. With 313 yards today against Boston College, he has now thrown for 11,021 career passing yards.
