For the first time ever, a spring game will be telecast on national television, and it involves YOUR Ohio State football team. That’s right, Fox will televise the annual spring game on Saturday, and there will be a familiar face to Buckeye fans providing the commentary.
Accompanying play-by-play man Jason Benetti will be former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer.
Meyer is no stranger to Fox. He’s been on it’s Big Noon Kickoff show for a few years now over a couple of stints and always has great insight in his segments and real-time commentary.
Meyer is no stranger to the booth, however. He’s been on the desk for Fox pregame but worked as a color commentator for ESPN back in 2011. So yeah, he’ll probably be pretty good at this gig.
