The Packers signed Josh Jacobs and drafted Marshawn Lloyd, so Dillon isn’t guaranteed any sort of playing time this season. In addition to that, signing a one-year deal with almost no guarantees doesn’t even make Dillon a roster lock this year either. Having said that, he’s also not someone to be forgotten about in this running back room. Dillon looks more trim this offseason but has still maitained his muscle mass. Although Dillon has lacked big play ability, particularly last year, there is still value in having someone who knows the offense as well as he does and is capable in a variety or roles, whether that be as a ball carrier, pass-catcher, or blocker. Those elements will provide Dillon with the opportunity to carve out a role, even with Jacobs and Lloyd on the roster. — Paul Bretl
