With plenty of talent and potential at its skill positions, Jacksonville will go as far as the offensive line takes it.
The Jaguars allotted 10 spots to the offensive line, eight of which are returning players: Tackles Cam Robinson, Anton Harrison, Cole Van Lanen, and Walker Little, guards Brandon Scherff, Ezra Cleveland, Cooper Hodges (who spent his rookie season on injured reserve) and center Luke Fortner.
Javon Foster, a fourth-round pick from Missouri, made the roster trim.
Looking to bolster the unit, the Jaguars signed former Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse in free agency, swooping up a veteran who started 19 games last season, including the playoffs.
The rest of the unit remains relatively unchanged, although it might have the weight of the offense on its shoulders. This comes after Jacksonville’s offensive line finished with Pro Football Focus’ No. 21 team pass-protection grade (59.6) and No. 31 run-blocking grade (40.6).
With another offseason of development for its younger depth pieces, time will test the unit as the season progresses.
