The Indianapolis Colts today announced that the team will provide nine Indiana high schools with a $2,000 grant each to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for their school.
In concert with CPR and an efficient, practiced Emergency Action Plan, an AED has been shown to be an important factor in saving the lives of student-athletes, parents, fans and all in attendance at events.
The Colts worked in collaboration with the IHSAA Foundation to select the grant recipients and will work with the American Heart Association, Rescue One and the NFL Foundation to distribute funding to support high school athlete health and safety.
