North Quincy High School's Ryan Craig Named the New England Patriots Coach of the Week

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – “The Miracle on Hancock Street” between North Quincy and Quincy on Thanksgiving Day proved to be one for the ages. The 43-41 final score in favor of North Quincy led to head coach Ryan Craig’s selection as the New England Patriots Coach of the Week.

North Quincy High senior quarterback Mikey Galligan rifled a 38-yard Hail Mary to Tyler Cromwell in the end zone as time expired, sending the contest to overtime. Galligan then rushed for another touchdown in OT with a walk-off 2-point conversion that followed. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: He’s the best quarterback in Eastern, Mass., hands down. Argue with me and tell me somebody else better,” said Coach Craig of his senior quarterback Galligan.

NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett, who presently holds the role of Executive Director of Community Affairs for the New England Patriots, had a meeting with the Red Raiders on Tuesday at North Quincy High School. During the meeting, he presented a generous donation of $1,000 to the football program on behalf of the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation. The acknowledgment pays homage to Coach Craig’s commitment to the development of the next generation.

“As the chill of December settles in, high school football players across Massachusetts lace up for the games they’ll never forget—Thanksgiving rivalries steeped in tradition and the final push toward state championship glory. This is where memories are made, and legacies begin,” said Tippett.
