Analyst projections 10 days before the draft

Hairston’s blazing speed was on full display with his NFL Combine-best 40-yard dash, but he’s more than just a blazer. Fluid movement and elite anticipation give Hairston big-play ability, helping him collect six interceptions and three pick-sixes over the past two seasons.

“The Rams tied for 25th in passing yards allowed per play and 20th in pass defense last season,” Arthur wrote. “Hairston led all players with a 4.28-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and paced the SEC with five picks in 2023.”

In Filice’s mock draft, the Rams trade back two picks to No. 28 with the Lions (compensation not included).

Campbell is widely considered one of the top inside linebacker prospects in this year’s draft thanks to his ideal blend of quickness and physicality. Recently, the Rams have not valued linebackers this high in the draft, but Campbell would add a dynamic presence against the run and pass to the middle of the Rams’ defense.

“A first-team All-SEC linebacker with hybrid skills as a pass rusher, Campbell put on a show in Indianapolis,” Filice wrote. “But a post-combine shoulder surgery has created uncertainty around his draft stock.

“The only problem with this projection? Well, Les Snead hasn’t spent a top-100 pick on a linebacker since back when the Rams were in St. Louis (Alec Ogletree, No. 30 overall, 2013). But Campbell could be a monster in Chris Shula’s defense, extending the fun youth movement up front to the second level. So, I say EFF THEM PICK TENDENCIES!!”
