The second night of workouts meant the running backs and offensive linemen took center stage. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, this meant keeping a keep eye on the offensive line prospects while keeping an eye on the running backs to help bolster depth. Here are our takeaways from Friday nightโs action.
Are speedy olinemen what the Steelers need?

Speed has been the theme of the combine and the offensive line didnโt let us down. 12 prospects ran sub-5.0-second 40 times, which is unheard of. Typically if you see a player or two hit these numbers, itโs headlines. Having a dozen guys is remarkable. But is this what the Steelers need to focus on? Looking back at last season, Iโm not sure foot speed was the problem on the offensive line. It was more about physicality and power. This is why we really like Boston College center/guard Zion Johnson, who put up 32 reps on bench press.
