The second night of workouts meant the running backs and offensive linemen took center stage. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, this meant keeping a keep eye on the offensive line prospects while keeping an eye on the running backs to help bolster depth. Here are our takeaways from Friday nightโ€™s action.

Speed has been the theme of the combine and the offensive line didnโ€™t let us down. 12 prospects ran sub-5.0-second 40 times, which is unheard of. Typically if you see a player or two hit these numbers, itโ€™s headlines. Having a dozen guys is remarkable. But is this what the Steelers need to focus on? Looking back at last season, Iโ€™m not sure foot speed was the problem on the offensive line. It was more about physicality and power. This is why we really like Boston College center/guard Zion Johnson, who put up 32 reps on bench press.
