Top 2023 running back sets his sights on Gainesville this week

It was a rough season for Florida football in 2021, resulting in the dismissal of the entire coaching corps and a fresh start with a clean slate after the hiring of former Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns head coach Billy Napier. Now that the new army of staffers is fully assembled, the Gators have gone to war in the recruiting trenches as they vie for the top talent in the nation.

One of the athletes Florida is fighting for is four-star running back Justice Haynes out of Roswell (Georgia) Blessed Trinity Catholic, who is listed among the top 100 preps in the nation for the 2023 recruiting class. The 5-foot-10-inch, 200-pound prospect initially received an offer from the former regime under Dan Mullen back in October 2021 but failed to ever make it onto campus. That appears to be changing quickly under Napier, as the high school junior is scheduled to visit Gainesville on Wednesday of this week, according to Swamp247.
