Brian Robinson runs for Alabama in National Championship Game
The Giants have been conducting their Top 30 visits as the NFL Draft nears closer by the day, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Georgia DE Travon Walker was the highlight of the prospect list on Tuesday. New York needs help in that department and his draft stock is rising.
But what was also curious about the slew of prospects that came through were three running backs who are projected to be Day 2 picks.
Alabama’s Brian Robinson, Georgia’s James Cook and Iowa State’s Breece Hall were among the prospects that went to East Rutherford, according to The MMQB’s Albert Breer, and it’s pretty telling about what the Giants might be doing after the first round.
When you look at the roster now, Saquon Barkley is the obvious top dog. The Giants also signed Matt Breida, who is a solid backup that can both run and catch well. Gary Brightwell and Antonio Williams will battle for a roster spot, too.
