Depth Chart Overview
Thomas arrived on campus with fairly high expectations. As the No. 89 recruit in the 2021 class, the four-star prospect figured to factor into the receiver rotation.
Indeed, he played a fairly significant role within the offense, and though his production was limited, he could see more targets in 2022. However, receiver is a position of considerable depth for the Tigers.
This group also includes Kayshon Boutte, a likely first-round pick who could be one of college football’s top receivers this season. It also has fellow sophomores Malik Nabers and Jack Bech, who will compete with Thomas for targets.
Veteran Jaray Jenkins, who enters his fifth season with the program, will be in the mix, as well.
Thomas could take a backseat once again to some of those players, but he’s a high-potential player who will look to expand on a solid true freshman campaign.
