Missouri game named a ‘trap game’ per 247Sports

We continue to the march to the 2022 college football season, this time we are looking at potential pitfalls as the season opens up. Which game should fans be leary of when the Auburn Tigers take the field for the first time?

Looking at the 2022 schedule we have the “trap game” candidates from 247Sports. Brad Crawford has Auburn facing their trap game early on in the season at Jordan-Hare stadium.

What 247Sports Says…

Auburn’s SEC opener getting “trap game” status won’t sit well with second-year coach Bryan Harsin, but it comes after a nationally-relevant showdown against Penn State on the Plains and precedes a barometer game of sorts against LSU. In fact, it’s one of five consecutive home games for Auburn before the Tigers’ first trip outside the state of Alabama this season in the middle of October. Fans, and perhaps players, are going to overlook this one as a projected win while others know that’s a dangerous proposition. If Auburn drops this one against Missouri, getting to a bowl game will be challenging.
