Who could be next to join the 2023 class?

Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin is now entering his second season on the Plains.

Last season, the Tigers finished with a 6-7 record and ended the season in a disappointing loss against Houston. Several players that were heavily featured in that game have since transferred or entered the NFL Draft. Several players like safety Smoke Monday, linebacker Zakoby McClain, and cornerback Roger McCreary all declared for the NFL Draft this offseason.

Some of the players that transferred from the program were wide receiver Kobe Hudson, running back Shaun Shivers, quarterback Bo Nix, edge rusher Romello White, and offensive lineman Tashawn Manning.

Following the season, Auburn also had a recruiting class that finished ranked at No. 22 according to 247Sports. It was not the ideal offseason to say the least for the Tigers’ coaching staff. However, the coaching staff has placed an emphasis on the 2023 recruiting class. Several of the coaches on the staff have already begun to recruit the state of Alabama. It appears to be a priority for Harsin and his staff.

It isn’t just in-state products but also out-of-state players. The Tigers are already in the mix for multiple out-of-state players as well. Thus far, safety Terrance Love and offensive lineman Bradyn Joiner are the lone commits of the class.

We will take a look at some of the players on Auburn’s radar that could commit in the coming months.

Jeremiah Cobb- Montgomery Catholic HS (AL)

Jeremiah Cobb is one of the more interesting recruits in the 2023 cycle. He is ranked as a three-star running back by 247Sports. Thus far, he has visited Auburn three times and is planning on a fourth this weekend according to Senior Recruiting Editor Jeffrey Lee of AuburnLiveOn3. Several other programs are in the mix to land him.

Schools like Louisville, North Carolina, LSU, and Tennessee are also heavily recruiting Cobb. However, with Cobb taking his fourth visit in recent months, I like Auburn’s chances…
