From the outside looking in, cornerback may not appear to be a top NFL draft need for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But despite signing Levi Wallace in free agency, the pending loss of Joe Haden isn’t going to be easy to deal with. Pittsburgh hasn’t had great luck in drafting cornerbacks historically but if they chose to this year, here is an option in every round.
1st round-Trent McDuffie, Washington
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
Washington’s Trent McDuffie is a polished, complete cornerback with tremendous upside.
2nd round-Roger McCreary, Auburn
Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports
Auburn’s Roger McCreary is an underrated guy thanks to his sticky coverage and physicality.

Well-traveled D2 cornerback who proved he could play against top offensive skill players. Elite size and length.
4th round-Zyon McCollum, Sam Houston State
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
Zyon McCollum was a standout at the FCS level and should have no problem translating his man coverage game to the NFL level.
5th round-Montaric Brown, Arkansas
Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports
Arkansas’ Montaric Brown is a rangy boundary corner with very good zone skills.
6th round-Derion Kendrick, Georgia
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Solid boundary cornerback who was overshadowed by the tremendous talen on that Georgia defense.
7th round-Mykael Wright, Oregon
Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports
Oregon’s Mykael Wright is an undersized slot cornerback who plays bigger than he is but doesn’t have a ton of upside as a run defender.
