Packers select Georgia DL Devonte Wyatt in first round, No. 28 overall

He recorded 39 total tackles last year, 18 solo and seven for loss. Over his four years for the Bulldogs, he had 113 tackles (49 solo), 12 TFLs and five sacks.

Wyatt was the third Georgia defensive lineman taken in this draft, following Travon Walker at No. 1 overall to Jacksonville and Jordan Davis at No. 13 to Philadelphia.

The Georgia native began his college career at the junior college level (Hutchinson, Kan.) and wound up playing in 49 total games for his home-state team, starting 24 over the past two seasons. The first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection clocked a 4.77-second time in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, a standout time for a 300-pound player.
