A number of USC Trojan players earned UDFA deals after not being selected during the 2022 NFL draft.
One player not to earn a deal is offensive lineman Liam Jimmons. However, Jimmons has received a minicamp invite with the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, according to his own Twitter account.
Jimmons began his USC career as a defensive tackle before making the transition to the offensive line in 2020. He started all 12 games at right offensive guard in his final collegiate season.
Jimmons even was named to the Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 First Team after a successful final season with USC, but he still went undrafted, although the Bills and Ravens came calling with invitations.
Making the switch from defensive tackle to the offensive line is rare. Jimmons even played both tackle and guard spots with the Trojans over his final two seasons.
His versatility is rare, and a number of NFL teams would love to have an offensive lineman who can play either guard or tackle position, even if it is a practice squad spot.
Jimmons has some time to prepare for the minicamps. He will surely be out to make a statement as he tries to land a spot on one of the rosters in either Buffalo or Baltimore.
