With LSU coach Brian Kelly wrapping up his first spring on the bayou, we have a long wait until camp begins at the end of the summer before we can learn more about this year’s team.
In the meantime, we’ve already figured quite a bit out. The Tigers’ starting five along the offensive line seems to be more or less cemented after it had to replace four outgoing starters from a year ago. True freshman Will Campbell, an early enrollee, impressed in the spring and is likely to start at left tackle this season.
However, a number of uncertainties still remain for this team — namely the quarterback competition between Jayden Daniels, Myles Brennan and Garrett Nussmeier.
As the Tigers prepare for a few months off before fall camp, LSU Wire editor Tyler Nettuno and USA TODAY Sports regional editor Patrick Conn answer 12 burning questions still facing this team following spring ball.
Who is going to win this quarterback job?

Tyler Nettuno: Your guess is as good as mine, friend. LSU’s quarterback conundrum was one of the most interesting to watch in the entire country, and it doesn’t feel like we’re any closer to answering this question after the spring game. Daniels struggled but is still learning the playbook, Brennan was solid if a bit underwhelming and Nussmeier had the best spring game of the group, but is he ready to lead a team? My money would still be on Daniels, the most experienced of the group, but it really feels like it’s anyone’s job to win.
Patrick Conn: Prior to camp getting cranked up, it felt like it was going to be Myles Brennan or Jayden Daniels. However, redshirt freshman gunslinger Garrett Nussmeier has sort of thrown a wrench into those plans. It most likely will still end up being one of the two upperclassmen, but Nussmeier is my dark horse to take the job eventually.
How will the carry distribution break down in a crowded running back…
