Drake Jackson is admired by the people who helped him make the NFL

Drake Jackson NFL draft

The dust has settled on the 2022 NFL draft. Rookie minicamps and OTAs are kicking off as the 2022 NFL campaign is still months away.

The San Francisco 49ers selected Drake Jackson in the second round of the NFL draft. Jackson went from being a first-round choice to a fringe Day 2 pick after a frustrating final year in Los Angeles.

Nonetheless, there is a ton to like about Jackson, and the thought of him and Nick Bosa next to each other is tantalizing.

In a recent feature by David Lombardi of The Athletic, Jackson’s former high school coach, Matt Logan, gave him an interesting and unique compliment.

“He can be a senator or a congressman. He’s such an outgoing personality, always has a smile on his face. Everybody in the building likes him. That’s just the way he is.”

That is quite the endorsement from Logan, who coached Jackson at Centennial High School in Corona, California.

Jackson’s personality is top-notch, and surely the 49ers were excited about being able to utilize his talent on and off the field.

It looks like Jackson has found a perfect home in the Bay Area, although his father, a Raiders fan, might not be too thrilled about that particular part of this special story.

It’s a first-world problem, to be sure.
