As we continue through our small (for now) list for 2023 Penn State football recruits, the next up is four-star quarterback Marcus Stokes. The Florida quarterback committed to Penn State last month, in what continues a list of young quarterbacks with intriguing competition in the future.
The highly-anticipated signal-caller everyone is expecting to compete for the starting job after Sean Clifford leaves Medina High School’s Drew Allar. However, Stokes is now the first recruited quarterback in Penn State’s 2023 class.

Stokes wasn’t the eye-opening name in the 2023 list of quarterback recruits. The Nittany Lions headline those Power Five teams who offered him, as well as Utah and Pitt.
However, Stokes does bring competition to the quarterback room. He shows a good amount of elusiveness as a running quarterback and his hip mobility looks impressive at times with how he is able to throw at an angle, on the run, with plenty of ease.
At just 185 pounds, Stokes has shown to be a physical athlete and can win plays on the run.
