Tigers make the cut for 4-star DJ Chester

Tigers listed in top 12 for elite lineman

Auburn is looking to land several offensive linemen this recruiting class. One of their targets is four-star DJ Chester. That interest is mutual as Chester included Auburn in his top 12 schools on Friday.

The Tigers will be competing with Florida State, Florida A&M, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, NC State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and USC.

Chester is from McDonough, Georgia, and is ranked as the No. 179 overall player and No. 19 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 16 player from Georgia.

Measuring in at 6-foot-5, and 295 pounds he plays football, basketball, and track and field for Eagles Landing Christian Academy. He won the Georgia A Private state championships in the shot put (47-3.25) and discus (146-6) as a sophomore.

His recruitment is far from over, Chester is very open to other schools that enter the picture and still needs to visit his top schools. However, Auburn is in a good place with Chester and is looking to turn that into a commitment.
