USC rules the Pac-12 in all-time rankings for wide receivers

When USC offenses were led by Student Body Right and the amazingly deep pool of elite running backs which flowed through the program in the 1960s and 1970s, receivers took a back seat to the running game.

In more recent decades, however, USC has become a place where great receivers continuously emerge.

Jack Follman of SportsPac12 dropped another historical ranking in these offseason weeks made for such lookbacks through the pages of time. This latest historical evaluation is the wide receiver edition.

USC placed nine players in Follman’s all-time top 25, with three of the top four, four of the top seven, and five of the top nine.

What is especially remarkable about these historical rankings by Follman is that his two best USC receivers of all time — two of the three best Pac-12 receivers who have ever lived — are not in the College Football Hall of Fame.
