This weekend the USFL will cap off the inaugural regular season schedule. From there, the top four teams are headed to Canton, OH for the USFL Playoffs and Championship.
Going into any spring football league, one of the main purposes is to give players a chance to potentially move up to the NFL. During the regular season, there’s certain restrictions in place, but now that the season is concluding it looks like some may be able to start pursuing that dream sooner than later.
Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reports that USFL players that didn’t qualify for the playoffs will be eligible to pursue NFL opportunities once the regular season ends this weekend.

It’s hard to imagine that the season is already wrapping up, but now we look forward to reporting on all of the moves to the NFL.
If a player joins the NFL and is cut, they’ll come back to the USFL pending they opted to sign the second year extension. Either way you look at it, it’s a win-win.
We’ve seen stars move from the AAF, XFL and now soon we’ll have our first list of guys from the USFL.
