Fall in love with the process of leveling yourself up.
It’s a process the Denver Broncos find themselves in since, that’s right, acquiring quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason.
Doubling down on that sentiment is veteran safety Justin Simmons. He recently appeared on The Jim Rome Show, saying it’s Super Bowl or bust for the Broncos after acquiring Wilson. Giddy up, Broncos Country.
Here’s a fun fact: Simmons has never played in a playoff game (yet). So, you’ve gotta love the diction he speaks with during his convo with Rome.
“The goal is win . You know, it’s Super Bowl or bust mentality,” Simmons said last week.”We’ve got everything we need. We got a great defense. We got a great young nucleus on offense led by a Hall of Fame quarterback. It’s going to be a heck of a season.”
To the point of great defense, the team returns presumably nine of 11 starters from last season. And their new DC is a part of former coach Vic Fangio’s coaching tree, making the terminology transition easier than most ones.
The Broncos haven’t had a winning season since 2016, let alone a playoff berth, but excitement is running rampant in Broncos Country. And rightfully so with Wilson in town. Check out Simmons’ full interview on The Jim Rome Show.
