USC has star power on college football’s 2022 preseason All-America teams, and not just at the skill positions. The Trojans have some trench stars who are gaining considerable national attention.
One important USC Trojan to be named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America Team is offensive lineman Andrew Vorhees, according to Chris Trevino of 247Sports.
Vorhees is entering his final year with the Trojans. He is one of many players to keep an eye on in next year’s NFL draft. Vorhees joins the first team offensive line alongside Peter Skoronski of Northwestern, O’Cyrus Torrence of Florida, Caleb Chandler of Louisville, and Jarrett Patterson of Notre Dame.
Vorhees is entering his sixth season at USC due to a number of injuries. With a replenished coaching staff and a world of talent at USC, this is lining up to be his best season yet, making his hopes for a high draft spot pretty likely.
Vorhees finished last season as a third-team All-American, so being bumped up to first-team status is quite the honor, and he has the grades to back it up.
The Trojans have three players in total on the All-America preseason squads, and the hype and excitement are at an all-time high at Heritage Hall.
And, if all goes well, there will be a long list of Trojans when the final All-American teams are announced at the end of the season.
