Buffalo Bills’ Brandon Beane ranked NFL’s best general manager

Buffalo Bills’ Brandon Beane ranked NFL’s best general manager

Pro Football Network released their NFL front office rankings. The best of the bunch resides in Orchard Park.

PFN unveiled a top-10 list, the Bills are at the mountain top: Brandon Beane & Co. is named the best from office in league.

Over the years, Beane has helped lead the Bills’ rebuild. Much of that has come through the draft, but it’s a two-fold operation.

Buffalo has drafted well since Beane and head coach Sean McDermott joined the team in 2017. But Beane has done just as good of a job in retaining key pieces, too.

Players such as quarterback Josh Allen, cornerback Tre’Davious White and linebacker Matt Milano all re-signed with the team.

That trade for wide receiver Stefon Diggs was a pretty good decision by Beane as well…

Here is PFN’s breakdown on the Bills front office:

1. Buffalo Bills
General manager: Brandon Beane

Alongside head coach Sean McDermott, Beane spent the past five seasons turning the Bills into the preeminent franchise in the NFL. Although they’ve yet to capture a Super Bowl trophy, Buffalo’s decision-makers are the most astute in the league.

Beane took two years to get the Bills’ salary cap in order before attacking free agency and the draft with targeted, positional-value-centric strikes. He acquired Stefon Diggs at a discounted rate, and even Diggs’ new extension is cheap compared to the rest of the now-exploded WR market. Beane will have the next decade to add complementary pieces around Josh Allen. Buffalo is the model for every NFL front office.
