Meet USC 2024 offensive line target Brandon Baker

Meet Grant Buckey and learn more about the new USC recruit

Mater Dei Monarch football players getting offers from the USC Trojans football team go together like California and sunshine, so why not highlight another top Mater Dei recruit?

Brandon Baker has entered the chat. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive lineman is one of the hottest prospects in the country for the 2024 class, and he has 16 offers to show for it.

Baker has offers from top schools: Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Miami, Arizona, USC, and many more.

The four-star via Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) lineman started 9 of 12 games last season, which included left guard and right tackle. He plans to repeat as national champions with Elijah Brown and company for the 2022 season. The Monarchs come in at No. 2 overall in the preseason polls (via Max Preps), right behind archrival St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.).

Brown is the 74th-ranked player in the 2024 class and the second-ranked offensive tackle in the class as well. I expect Brown to have an All-America year in 2022 and eventually earn a fifth star by the season’s end.

The 2024 recruit has put together some impressive performances during the camp season, leading to increased attention that has changed his recruitment in a short amount of time.

“I always expected something like this to happen, so it was just a matter of time when I was able to get those opportunities to showcase my ability. And, I was able to do that these past couple months.”
