Ducks take an early lead for No. 4 QB in 2024 class

4-star WR Jurrion Dickey places Ducks in top-5

The Oregon Ducks landed the highest-ranked quarterback in program history less than a week ago. However, that doesn’t mean that they will stop recruiting QBs any time soon.

Even with an expectation that Dante Moore will be in the fold for the Ducks for hopefully the foreseeable future, offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham will continue to try and find the most talented passers that he can and bring them into the fold. Most recently, the Ducks ramped up their recruitment of 2024 4-star QB Elijah Brown.

Brown is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 4 QB and No. 44 overall player in the 2024 class. He recently took a visit to Oregon, which is the school that is said to be the one to watch early on. Here is what Rivals had to say about it:

Alabama, Georgia, LSU and others have offered the 2024 four-star quarterback from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei in recent months but Brown has been taking the recruiting process very slowly this summer. He took one visit to Oregon that especially stood out because of his growing relationship with position coach Kenny Dillinghamso the Ducks should be watched here. But Brown still wants to take a lot of time, schedule more trips and he definitely won’t rush a decision.

Of course, it is way too early to be making any recruiting predictions for a 2024 prospect, but the Ducks seem to be doing well in the early stages for Brown.
