Working out in the sand is hard enough, but Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon increased the difficulty by wearing Timberland boots for a recent beach workout.
The NFL’s official Instagram page shared footage from the workout on Saturday.
“Already sore watching @melvin’s beach workout in Timbs. 😮💨,” the league captioned the post.
Gordon appears to be in fantastic shape ahead of the start of training camp next week.
Gordon re-signed with Denver earlier this offseason on a one-year, $2.5 million contract. He’s expected to continue splitting reps with Javonte Williams in 2022, similar to the team’s two-back rotation last season.
Gordon’s had a productive two-year stretch with the Broncos, rushing for 1,904 yards yards and 17 touchdowns since 2020. Now entering his third season with the team, Gordon is 750 yards away from 15th place on Denver’s all-time rushing list.
The 29-year-old running back will aim to prove he has plenty of gas left in the tank this season.
